Skateboarders travel to well built skateparks, and spend money in local stores. A quality skatepark is an investment in the youth and future of your community.

My family loves the other parks around, and would like one close to home.

Skateparks are an essential tool for youth to meet people in their age group and is also an excellent way for younger kinds to meet older mentors. I can't even imagine what my life would have been like if I didn't have a skatepark in my home town. I may not even be here today.

As Recreation Director (in Hinesburg) over a decade ago I wrote a grant for this very idea. We had a skate park for about 5 years behind the school..would love to help!

Kids need more things available to them to stay active and perhaps be less likely to get in trouble.

A skate park is an asset to any community. It keeps kids from skating in the streets and teaches social skills such as sharing, while providing a safe environment. I was a sponsored member of the Powell Peralta Amateur Team in 1991 and though I don't skate anymore, it is always in my heart and in my blood. I would be willing to assist in this effort as my time allows.

A skatepark is one of the best investments a town can make in their youth. Hinesburg needs one.

It would be great to have a place in town for the kids to skate. We have fields for all to play on, even a ice rink in winter. I think a skate park is the next logical step

I really want this skatepark to happen. It's a lofty, worthy goal and the only way it's going to happen is by having us all come together. We need support from anyone and everyone. So, please spread the word as much as possible! I'm so excited to see all the signatures making their way to the petition. Keep them coming and don't stop there. Tell your neighbors. Tell your friends. Tell your family. Let's all start the conversation and move towards the goal! Thanks again, everyone!

This would be great! I worry about my son(cvu), an avid skater, going downtown to use the park. A Hinesburg Park would be a great option.

As someone who grew up at a local skatepark I would love to see one in Hinesburg. With proper involvement and leadership it could be a great community spot for the kids that fall outside of primary sports domain.
