As you all know I have been an International Students Officer, which is a part-time role, last year & this year I want to contest the Students Union elections for a Full-Time Role. However, I recently found out that I’m not a student anymore, officially, so that clause doesn’t allow me to contest the elections.However, as most of you might be knowing the kind of work that I have done for the Students & the Students Union without getting paid & the relationships that I have forged, I think I deserve a chance to contest the Elections. The Students Union hasn’t made its decision or its stand clear in my favor. I was only two months short of being qualified as a student. But under the light of my contribution towards the Student Community & Students Union, I think I deserve a chance at these elections. If I’m unable to do so, I will have to go back home for good. If you think that I have been a good officer & believe that I can do much more within a full-time role capacity, please do support me by signing this petition & helping me to contest the elections. If I get to contest the elections & win it, I promise to put in all I have got for you, the Students, for whom the Students Union is there to serve.
