A leader can be defined as, an individual who leads a group out of the dark and into the light. A leader is exactly what Principal Kimberly Taylor is. Kimberly Taylor is not only a leader, but a compassionate, helping individual. In the past 20 or some years, she has exceeded her role as a principal. Over the years she has become more than a principal, but a mentor. Kimberly Taylor has taught all of her students to respect others, work hard, and give back to your community. Yes, Kimberly Taylor has made mistakes in the past, but she has turned her weaknesses into strengths. Kimberley Taylor has done so much for the students she leads. Once, there were five siblings who attended her school. Kimberly later learned, that the children's’ mother was struggling with substance abuse. Every day, these five children used to come to school wearing dirty clothing. That is when Kim stepped in. She made it her duty to wash the childrens clothes for them. All of the positive Kim has done does not stop there. In 2005, when she was the principal of Rockland Middle School, she took multiple children, including mine, to a professional basketball game. This is something that these kids had never experienced before. Kimberly wanted these children to experience what she did growing up, and learn how important it is to be a team player. I have also have had my own personal experience with Kim helping my family. Once, my child refused to go to school for an extended period of time. Nothing I could do could get my son to go into school. Kimberly came to my home and convinced my son to go to school. She told him that education was one of the most important things you can receive. Without her, Hilltop will never be the same. Please sign this petition to save principal Taylor.

The stories you are posting in the comments show exactly why Kimberly Taylor belongs here. I am busy compiling these experiences to present to the board.

Kim is my savior - She believed in me when no one else would. She helped me be a productive adult that I am today. People that have never been to the bottom of the barrel should not judge on someone they never met. If it wasnt for Kim I would not be here today.

Kids used to tease me. Principal Taylor heard about it and put a stop to it immediately.

Principal Taylor taught me that community service is a good thing. It was always hard for me to sit in class all day. So, she had me help the custodians for part the day.

It has been said "The only source of knowledge is experience " so I says loosing someone with 20 years plus experience is sad to those who could have benefitted from her wisdom.

In life we all make mistakes. One minor error should not define ones character. I thing more in service training will help the situation and provide a better outcome.

Mrs Taylor goes beyond to make sure my children will succeed If it wasn't for Mrs Taylor my children wouldn't have a fair chance these children are push out of there school district because no one wants to give them a chance but Mrs Taylor changes this for them she gives a place where they fit in and are able to learn and feel comfortable I stand by Mrs Taylor 100%

It is so sad that people only want money.
