Hill House is an excellent school allowing children to have a proper childhood whilst giving them an excellent all round education and great interpersonal skills and self confidence. The school is very different from other run of the mill private schools and has an ethos that should be a model to all schools in a global community.

This Ofsted report bares no resemblance to the school my son attends where is extremely happy well cared for and well educated.

Hill House took me in when no other English school would even give me the time of day, considering the absolute lack of language attained. As a school it ascertains individuality and unlike many mundane feeder schools, prepares you to think on your feet and achieve exceptionally higher goals. They don't tick your mundane boxes OFSTED, deal with it.

The report seems utterly at odds with our perspective of Hill House and we could not disagree with it more. We will continue to trumpet it from the roof-tops and back the incredible staff all the way.

Nothing could prepare me for what I found in the Ofsted report for Hill House, having been at the school many years ago and seeing the tremendous benefit that my son has at the school today. As many have commented, I’m not sure they saw your school. I found the report myopic in many contexts, and indeed found it outrightly unbelievable that they could come to such strong conclusions in a mere two an a half days, particularly with Hill House’s school buildings being so dispersed and all 1,000 children being equally in motion.

This merely confirms the impression one has got from a number of Ofsted "reports" over the years, but also raises the question of why the report was leaked. Strangely, Maths is one of the strongest areas at the school. In old buildings, there may always be, to an untutored observer, lurking fire dangers, but the security of the children there has been, since the founding of the school the PRIME consideration of the teaching staff. If you would like to get an idea of how Ofsted compiles its reports, go here: http://tinyurl.com/kwpwala And if you would like to see the hilarious Fascinating Aida 'take' on Ofsted, look at the YouTube video here: https://youtu.be/d13gX-1HJg4

I cannot disagree enough with the contents of what strikes me as an extremely contradictory, bias and politically motivated report – children are confident, most extremely articulate and successful at gaining places at/or scholarships to the secondary school of their choice, but yet falling behind in maths and writing. All I can say is that both my girls have had the benefit of a Hill House education, and how lucky they have been! They are happy, confident, articulate, well-mannered and ahead of any of the averages Ofsted apply in making these assessments. In fact, their secondary schools have commented on how well prepared they have been in maths. Perhaps Ofsted is better placed concentrating on those schools truly failing to deliver and progress their pupils in maths and English, given that education in this country is falling well behind of our international counterparts.

We love the school. Our daughter is very happy, confident and independent and curious little girl. We believe Hill House provide an environment for her to florish.

Hill House gave me the best start in life, and was my favourite school by far out of all I have attended. Eccentric and unconventional, yes. Yet this is what makes Hill House stand apart, and why the children that emerge from Hill House are the best people I know, and people with whom I am still best friends with today. Ofsted need to address their inherent PC nature, and realise that Hill House's peculiarities is what makes it so special

We chose Hill House for the education of both our daughters, they left the school full of confidence, happy and moving on to the schools of their choice. During our time at Hill House we always found the environment simply excellent at nurturing the best performance from the children in all aspects of their school life. Fantastic end of year plays, superb sports day events and well mannered respectful children. This OFSTED report is clearly politically motivated to attempt to undermine the efforts of a wonderful school.

Found the comments in the Ofsted report to be contradictory and poorly justified. Not sure how they came to the conclusion that maths and writing are poorly taught at the school but my older child is well ahead of where I was at her age.
