My son went to HH when he was just over 4 and he is in love with school since day one. The school demonstrates good academic results and both girls and boys go to very good colleges and schools across the country. I support HillHouse and disagree with the Ofsted report.

With great success for both of my girls in HH. I have no reason to believe the direction of the Offsted Report, and believe some explanation is to be made. I wish HH the best.

When my kids do ever misbehave (which luckily doesn’t happen very often), this is what I need to say to get them to stop: “If you continue, you won’t go to school tomorrow”. Both my son and my daughter not only look forward to going to Hill House everyday to meet their friends and their wonderful teachers; but also are making great progress across all academics subjects as well as sports and music lessons. This is a unique school with a remarkable Ethos. If anything, this report raises more deep concerns about Ofsted‘s procedures, policies and overall rating system. They should be inspected as soon as it is possible.

My daughter has been since she was 4.5. I have seen her grown to respect others and has many friends. The teachers are helpful and the school en iron, eng is quaint and feels like a close community among the students of all ages. Great Central London School !

Hill House is a wonderful school - all I care about is my daughter's happiness, enthusiasm for school and ability to learn with teachers and a headmistress that are dedicated, skilled and passionate. My husband and I have no complaints !

We wish to join all other signees in supporting this great institution. My entire family is so pleased with our son's experience to date. There is always room for improvement, but the unfortunate side of such a damning report is that Hill House's image as academic Marmite will persevere- loved by those who know it and viewed with suspicion by those who don't. We look forward to our second son entering Reception as well!

My two daughters go to school happy everyday and come home excited and enthusiastic about their day. They are progressing in so many ways and the report is unjustified and full of contradictions!

The report is baffling. Wrong on the majority of counts. The Teachers are incredible. My children are thriving - learning - polite - happy - full of ideas. The report will be withdrawn with an apology

This OFSTED report appears to have some serious flaws and contradictions, offering a very unbalanced and unfair view of this outstanding school. My daughter is happy, confident, well nurtured and supported thanks to the enthusiastic staff and incredibly low class numbers and is progressing well in her work.

My son is making excellent progress; reading confidently at the age of four and more importantly full of enthusiasm for his school lessons, teachers and fellow pupils. The Ofsted report in no way reflects the school's strengths and achievements.

Ofsted has come across this well reputed school full of happy, polite children, with small class sizes and oversubscription. It seems to send children unerringly to top public schools and these schools have respect for the Hilll House child. The parents being (more or less) wealthy, educated and proactive could at any time take their children out to a higher or lower achieving school should they choose. That they do not suggests at least some degree of agreement with the pace of learning, pastoral care etc. Obviously. Ofsted concludes amidst all this politeness, attainment and satisfaction that the children are in danger, are not well monitored and appropriately taught, and the school does not possess enough staff to keep appropriate lists and policies (even if the parents like it that way). Worse, the staff are not encouraged by school to be proactive and be monitored regarding professional development, even though there is no evidence that in the round this would help anything. Indeed most teachers I know the bane of their life is jobsworths monitoring things better managed by professional culture itself monitored as a global value system by the school at an appropriately granular level. I could go on and on, Ofsted should not waste it's time and visit hotbeds of radicalism, schools where the students can't read or bullying is rife. The worst example of a bureaucracy creating illl targeted lists to justify it's own existence. Very very poor from Ofsted. Is it fit for purpose? No from this evidence. A very very satisfied Hill House Parent and ex teacher (one super bright child and one dyslexic Joker child doing famously at Hill House)
