I am an ex-pupil who started my education at Hill House and my brother attends it now. I have nothing but fond memories of Hill House and am very upset at such an unfair representation of a fantastic school. Also, the point of primary school is surely to prepare a child for examinations to get into secondary school and if they are succeeding in this aspect I cannot see how they can be faulted.

I have 2 boys who have gone via Hill House to St.Pauls and another happy girl at school. This is one great school - academically and atmospherically. I know the school for 17 years non-stop. The report is a gross misrepresentation bordering with being a deliberate preconceived lie.

The report strongly misrepresents the school and fails to capture how it's early years provision contributes to the children's wellbeing. There may be structural issues that need to be addressed but the school has taken action over the last year and this does not seem to be acknowledged. Hill House has an established reputation for promoting a relaxed learning environment that does however enable pupils gain places and scholarships at the top boarding and day secondary schools. This seems to have been erroneously translated as under-achievement. But a quick assessment cannot erase the years of hard work that go into our children's development.

It is with great pleasure that I add my support to this petition as I passionately disagree with the findings in the OFSTED report. Aside from it's dreary structure, uninspiring narrative and odious connotations, I can see no resemblance to the bright, creative, happy and charming children who attend Hill House. Our daughter has developed exponentially since joining HH not just in sport and music, (as the report indicates these are the only positive criteria that the school can boast!), but also academically across all subjects and most importantly in her confidence, energy and moral compass. It is fair to say she attends school with steam in her stride and returns home happy and inspired. I have no doubt the Health and safety areas will be rectified forthwith along with any other managerial issues but to have the school labelled as inadequate is more than an insult and only highlights gross poor judgement.

This OFSTED report is so wrong, this is not the HIll House I know. I have put four boys there and one is currently there now.My oldest sons went to their Harrow their school of choice and all were happy. I don't think the inspectors know what they were doing or have an agenda.

We have had 3 children at Hill house over the past 9 years and have 2 there currently. All of them are happy and balanced kids with good manners and confidence, We are sure they are getting a good education and are very happy with the school.

I have two boys at HH (Year 4 and 6) and have always been a supporter of HH. My kids rush into school every morning and have never complained about going to school. They are well mannered and confident. The teaching staff is 90% competent, in a huge school like this there will always be teachers that you don't like or don't deliver up to your standards, however to call the standard inadequate is just outrageous... Even parents who are not 100% satisfied with the Townends have to agree that this a step too far and we have to defend our school.

In fact the report is so poor and so off base that one begins to wonder about the particular inspectors involved and whether there were any particular motivations that are unaligned with OFSTED's stated mission. Hill House is a great school and, while I fully support improvements to the teaching and to the teachers (and yes, of course, health and safety as and if needed), the damage the report has done (and the intentional setting up of the press barrage) is appalling. We are fully supportive of the Townend family and will be happy to help in any way to use this opportunity to make Hill House even better.

This particular report is in stark contrast to Ofsted's three prior reports, including one from only seven months beforehand. Most of the teachers seem good to very good, and excellent, especially in English. The children seem happy and moving on to leading schools. Communications is not great at the school, but the proprietors seem friendly. They do need a new acting head, as a replacement has not been found since the former one left. Otherwise, a very good school.

It brings into serious question, the quality of the Inspectors employed at Ofsted and its' modus operandi

I think Hill house is a great school. It help me get into harrow which was a huge achievement especially since I arrived there not knowing any english from spain. I have become school captain for football and hoping to get 2A* 2A at A-level. Hill House help me achieve this hard work and dedication to my academic studies.

To echo Mr Townend's words, the OFSTED report bears no relationship to our experience of the school. Our daughter is extremely happy, energised to get to school every day and is thriving both educationally and also in the many other diverse activities the school offers. The school certainly does things its own way, which we feel is part of its charm but clearly upset the box-ticking OFSTED inspectors.
