I live in Hikes Point and that would be a terrible spot for such a business. Traffic is already horrific there.

Thank you for your support. One thing you should know: the SpeedWash would not be open 24/7. Likely it would operate 12-13 hours, seven days per week.

As a condominium owner of adjoining property I am opposed to the SpeedWash Car Wash project planned for 3000 Breckenridge Lane. In addition to an increase in already heavy traffic congestion which would result from a high volume car wash, it is a public safety issue with over 150 senior resident homes at two surrounding condominiums next to the proposed project. A 24-hour high volume car wash facility would create a nuisance and greatly increase the noise level for residents in the surrounding area.

Our property's values are going down.
That is not good for us the owners.
Please we don't want this here.
This seems like an unnecessary blight on our neighborhood and a disturbance for those condo owners.

Thank you to everyone who has signed! We have a total of 412 signatures from the online and paper petitions. We so appreciate your support. The El Conquistador Condominium Association has filed a claim of "adverse possession" against Bayside Properties regarding the portion of the 1.43-acre site at 3000 Breckenridge Lane mentioned in the petition. This has essentially stopped the project from moving forward ... for now. Continue to watch this space, and also Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/HikesPointWipeOuttheWash) and Twitter (@wipeoutwash and #wipeoutthewash), for updates. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.

This location would not be appropriate for a car wash ..why not build more apt\condos to join adjoining resident buildings ....I do not see this as a plus for any of the parties involved!!

Hikes Point is a model of a progressive urban area with dense population balanced with businesses that have evolved to serve their residential needs. Auto traffic is one of the area's problems, and businesses associated with that problem degrade our community.

That area is way too busy as it is. Adding a car wash there would be a traffic nightmare!!!
Another car wash is the last thing we need.
