Highway 21/Bruce Road 20 Improvement

We live on this road, daily 99% of the cars are speeding, we witness many talking on their phones, and passing numerous cars just to get to the stop sign at hwy 21 in front of the cars they pass. The problem at that intersection is that many people just do not use their signal lights. We need people to understand that Bruce Road 20 is busier than Hwy 21, at shift changes, and it going to get worse. An investigation to the causes of the accident needs to be done, aggressive driving and not using signal lights is a huge problem on this road and not only at that intersection. A roundabout - well then as Unk Jim says they would be all going around it on 2 wheels. They have just installed another set of lights on Hwy 21 in Port Elgin for a new subdivision, BRUCE Road 20 has thousands of cars per day, my vote would be lights, as people going to the plant can take the ramps. Great initiative. However until a decision is made on this, which will not happen overnight, I truly hope that Bruce Power, plan to have a Safety roll out some form. As I said from living on this road, speeding, aggressive driving, not signalling, and a huge problem on Bruce Road 20, at Tiverton sideroad and Bruce Road 23 people rate not stopping at stop signs they just roll through the stop signs.

A round about would be great improvement

This is a very busy intersection. Traffic lights or a round about would be ideal for driver safety.

I'd like to see a roundabout, anything is better than what it is at the moment.

intersection is very dangerous. it is very hard to tell if people are turning off of hwy 21 (heading west) or going straight through (towards tiverton)

I drive through HWY20/HWY21 intersection Monday to Friday. During winter visibility is very poor and this intersection is very dangerous to drive through.

I see an urgent need for a safe solution that would not plug up the highway yet allow safe merging of traffic from 20 East to 21 North.

Very dangerous to cross HYW 21 when travelling on County Road 20. I have had many close calls since 2010 cross that HYW.

I have been working here 18 years and have lost count of the number of serious accidents at this intersection. I too think a round-about would be perfect here, though it would need to be designed to allow the large components on trailer to navigate it.

I've personally been in an accident at this intersection, and I still get nervous approaching it each day. A positive change certainly needs to take place!

Why is Bruce Power cutting buses and encouraging more cars on the road. So much for the environment and safety.

I've witnessed approximately 10-12 very bad accidents at this intersection while driving to and from work. It very difficult to cross highway 21 at this intersection in the mornings and evenings due to poor visibility and due to South bound traffic failing to signal when turning West.
