Highway 21/Bruce Road 20 Improvement

I cant count how many times I have had/witnessed neat misses here or actual accidents

I was in a serious accident on this intersection on Friday, November 24th, 2023. Then (my first time driving past it again) nearly saw someone infront of me get into an accident and then I nearly got into an accident again their due to people trying to speed through the intersection with very little time.

this can be a dangerous intersection depending on visibility and the time of day.

This intersection needs to be redesigned, people's lives depend on it

This intersection is a prime candidate for a roundabout. There was a big accident, there, yesterday. I'm surprised that no-one was killed.

I hope there are improvements made at this intersectuon soon before a life is lost.

Thank you for sharing your comment. There have been so many terrible crashes. I’m not convinced the MTO is notified for each one. The statistics speak for themselves. If you know of anyone else who has had a collision here please encourage them to comment as well. The MTO has been looking at this petition and the comments.

Way too many left turns at this intersection to leave it to some paint on the road. The intersection needs physical barriers to prevent crashes.

I drive this intersection daily and I always worry about getting hit.

I was in a head on 3 car collision July 2018 that totaled my car. I was proceeding south n HWY 21 at 0640 am, an SUV turned left in front of me and a large Pickup came across the intersection, hit the SUV and then both vehicles cam into my lane of traffic.

I had a near miss last year at this junction, luckily I was able to get in the grass to avoid the truck that assumed I was turning off rather than heading straight on to tiverton

As a mom, I drive with my son every morning through that intersection and I constantly worry that something will happen because with a long line of cars, in both directions, everyone is impatient wanting to get home and begin to disregard the signs, turn signals, etc.

Why not? It is only going to become more dangerous to everyone traveling on highway.

I live on the 12 the of Bruce use 21 almost daily and I go towards Tiverton alot and I've almost been hit at that corner numerous times we need lights or round about and we need it this year 2019 how many more lives have to be taken or almost taken before this gets done

Put in a roundabout and widen the first Half Km of Rd 20 West of the roundabout.

It’s time.

Bruce Rd 20 needs to be plowed early in the morning....should not have to be bucking snow!

Something needs to change

Trying to cross this highway in the morning is scary. Hard to tell if the cars coming from Port Elgin direction are turning or going straight. It doesn’t help that most of those vehicles turning don’t use their signal light.
