Only Hightower Students understand the tremendous impact block schedule has on us. Not only is it efficient for students, but for teachers as well. With block scheduling, students are given more time to complete their assignments, and allows teachers more time to grade. This structure also mimics the 1.5 hr long classes in college, so we as students are prepared for the next step in education. With these longer classes, teachers are able to extend lessons and allow students to learn more, while staying on pace with the other schools as far as curriculum is concerned. Because of this, I support block scheduling.
