Block schedule was a way for kids and procrastinators to improve in the classes. 90 minutes of instruction time benefited me in many ways . Since I have been at Hightower Highschool my grades have greatly improved . Block schedule gave Hightower a form of uniqueness throughout all of the other fort bend schools. If any changing the ways we have adapted will cause more chaos at our school . I beg that you look into the kids that write our complaints about this change because we do care about our high school .

Block Schedule should be permissible in Hightower High School. it's been a thing for like 17 years and it shouldn't just stop. It makes HHS a unique school! No other school in FBISD has black schedule. Kids can do their homework ahead of time and work ahead.

Honestly, I feel as if the district did not even consider to think about how greatly the Block Schedule effect us STUDENTS. Many of us are obviously arguing that it gives us that "extra day" to catch up on work and I personally feel as if it does. It removes a lot of stress from me, when it comes to homework and it gives me an extra day to ask my teachers if I need help. Yes other schools have a regular schedule, but WE are complaining simply because we know how beneficial a Block Schedule is, those other school have not had the opportunity to try it out, and I believe if other schools were put on to a Blocked Schedule, Hightower students would not be the only ones arguing. Also, Mrs. West stated that a 7 period schedule would allow us to be in our core classes for 50 minutes each day verses 2-3 times a week, but she failed to mention that we still get about the same FOUR hours of classes per week, sometimes MORE on the block schedule. I don't get what is bad about that?! We also have the Medical and Digital Academies to consider as well as the Off Campus classes. What could you get done in 50 minutes verses almost 2 hours? Changing the way our schedules are set up creates MORE problems and it not only effect the students but the teachers as well. Change is nice, but in this case, change is bad. I STRONGLY support the idea that we REMAIN on a block schedule.

Blocked schedule has helped me as - among all things - a student. It provides more of an instructional period and as an academy student it allows me to further earn education in my desired future field. It also gives me more time to focus on my work and measure time management more efficiently. The blocked schedule needs to stay.

Hightower has made my educational environment a place to want to be. Being that having block schedule gave me more time in class to ask questions and indulge myself in my education. Being a freshmen in the medical program studying is a constant routine. Have the block schedule gave me the proper time and oppertunity to do it with out rushing. Actually taking time to study and understand is a major part of my highschool experience. Block schedule is need for a lot a reason, it doesn't enable or The French wait
