I think those charges for parking are rip-offs! So when I went to school and my mom was a parapro, I rode with her.

What about the school tax? Isn't that part of parking lot maintenance? Might be too late, but should put on the ballot for school and GL City for voters to change GLHS Student Parking Fee.

I went to holt high school and we also needed a permit but it was supplied by the school. Is this parking lot school property or city property? If school the police have no business being there and the fees associated with the parking is the schools responsibility and the taxes and mileage increases should pay for that not the students. If this is a city parking lot them they should maintain it, not the school. That's sad and pathetic.

I believe when my oldest daughter attended GLHS the parking fee was $100 but if you got reduced lunch it was $50. My daughter is a senior and parks on the road. It is ABSOLUTELY absurd to charge this fee!!

I agree, it is absurd! I have never heard of such a thing. If they want a way to Identify student vehicles etc "GIVE" them a parking permit to display in their window.

The glpd doesn't even do a good job policing the lots. Kids are allowed to hang out in the lot instead of being in class,

Don't feel I should have to pay for parking, when I almost have to walk a mile from beagle to park..... I might as well park on the street a couple blocks away for free. It would be the same distance.... Do not believe I should have to pay for a spot that not always there..... or feel that I need to allow more time out of my day to make sure I'm on time because of the lack and change of parking each day...

It would be one thing if they actually took care of the snow in the winter, but they do not. I have went to the school for weekend basketball games for my younger children and half of the spots are taken by all of the snow that they do not properly move out of the parking lot. I am also pretty sure they do not have any idea what salt is, because I have personally slipped and fallen while trying to navigate that parking area in the winter.

We used to have to pay $50 per semester the second year they started enforcing the parking fee which I couldn't afford as a high school student

My daughter is a sophomore and I don't let her drive to school, just because of the fact, there is a fee, and not enough parking for students!

If I had to pay $50 I think they can pay $20.. it's a fee to have people clean up the parking lot from the students who trash it at lunch.

My older daughters had to pay $50.00 to park in this public school lot! It's ridiculous- when the lot is not properly plowed and does not have enough spots to park!

I just don't see why I have to pay to park at my home school... especially when I have career prep in the morning and I'm only there for 3 hours...

I understand the point made about making sure the cars belong to grandledge students and not outside parties but $20 is too much to park at a school you already attend. $5 should cover one pass a year. So if you drive as a sophomore, it should be $15 total for 3 years. In the event that a freshman drives, which I doubt, then it should be $20

It's ridiculous!! I graduated in 2011 it was $60 to park and not enough spots. I never understood the fee with it because your not garuteed a spot at all then your late to class and get in trouble when your late it's a stupid battle

It was $50 per year when I was at the high school (not that I ever bought one). Hopefully this petition gets you somewhere in this matter.
