We, the undersigned, disagree with the following motion recently passed by the Board: Motion 090102 - Sanctioning - PASSED That in light of remeasurement of the indoor site at High Run Dog Sports done in response to member concerns and the resulting determination that the ring at the site falls significantly short of the 9000 square feet required by AAC rules, approval of the site as acceptable for the hosting of AAC-sanctioned trials be withdrawn. Moved by: Dan Yielding Seconded by: Yolanda Ford Voting in favour: Dan Yielding, Kiersten Lloyd, Yolanda Ford, Jerry Hamilton, Francine Lalonde, David Langen, John Willis, Gabi Miholics Voting against: No vote recorded: Rebecca Dunstan We sign this petition requesting that the Board reverse its decision to remove the sanctioning of High Run Dog Sports for the following reasons: -At least 8 sanctioned trials held by at least two legitimate AAC clubs have been held at High Run with great success, and; -It has been demonstrated repeatedly that the site is safe, and in fact superior to many other local sites in terms of location, surface condition, cleanliness, safety and cost, and; -It is the only location in the lower mainland available for indoor one-ring trials, and; -It is the only facility in the lower mainland designed specifically for dog sports. We are aware of the ring constraints of this facility, but this does not detract from the ability of judges to design suitable courses as demonstrated by the number of trials held at High Run over the last year, nor do we feel our dogs are jeopardized in any way while running courses designed for High Run. We are also concerned that the Board has chosen to remove the sanctioning of this facility because of non-conformity to the requirements of ring size, yet there are several barns across Canada that have been sanctioned for agility trials even though they too, do not conform to size requirements. We do not want the Board to remove our ability to compete in AAC Sanctioned events at High Run Dog Sports, signed:
