Now they are trying to persuade people from the south that it is a good idea to invest in their area. Just last week I asked about funding for R&D. They sent me details of two grant funding for community sector bodes, a research department of my own university, and a link to a business gateway. Oh dear.. Do they really know what they are doing.

They are a disgrace, over the years I have heard nothing good of the contribution they are making to Scotland. They haven’t a clue.

Tourism is secondary to engineering in the North.... how can that be with all the logistics.... surely tourism is easier logistically....

Now it appears that HIE are giving money to an organisation which may not be fulfilling the EU Directive on Sustainable Tourism.. It really is time they went.... There are a couple of good people in there, but the rest wouldn't know a business plan from a project plan.

Quite frankly I'm surprised that H&I are still grasping on to their position in the Scottish Tourism industry, quite an elephant in the room. Wake up people

It's no wonder HIE blocked your projects, their preferred operator in your area is Natural Retreats, same as on Cairngorm and at Lews Castle. Read the article in the Stornoway Gazette about the case ongoing there.

HIE are not fit for purpose.
