As a resident of The Drive I am deeply disappointed at BT and Barnet Council's inability to reach agreement on the rollout of Cable to the Cabinet in and around High Barnet centre. I work within the TV industry and have been on a panel with senior members of the BT TV / Broadband team (including Alex Green and Mark Watson) where they have spoken with pride about the planned ubiquity of high speed broadband. May I please ask that in the rush to hit penetration targets a complete service is provided without low speed ADSL pockets please. British Telecom should honours its undertakings from 2011 to complete the roll-out of a fast broadband service to High Barnet.

I have literally today been persuaded by BT to sign up for another 12 months broadband with them on the incentive that I will get infinity soon and that they will do me a good deal for this as I've just signed up with BT again! Now I hear 30 minutes later that we won't get Infinity!!

BT have stated that it's not commercially viable to complete the roll out of fibre in high Barnet. I'm sure that there is sufficient demand for BT products if fibre was supplied.

Do not consign Barnet to the dark ages with broadband speeds of about 3mb, if you're lucky. Openreach do your job - for everybody, not just the easy connections
