For our children and our community, being science-literate will no longer be just an advantage, but an absolute necessity – to enlighten critical thought, expand comprehension of their world, and instill the ability to tackle our society's most pressing problems.
But thousands of children here in Baltimore City do not have access to high-quality, hands-on STEAM education, nor opportunities to learn about innovative scientific developments that will ignite their passion for science, math, and technology.
Impact Academy of Excellence is a proposed S.T.E.A.M School in Baltimore City. Our balanced educational program is composed of a 21st century STEAM curriculum, opportunities for project-based learning (PBL), student centered learning, a focus on student well-being inside and out, and positive student connections within the school and community.
At Impact Academy of Excellence, the delivery of a well-rounded personalized education will be accomplished through the provision of a robust program focused on the whole child that incorporates a balance between the implementation of a challenging academic curricula infused with a concentration on science and mathematics and the integration of arts, and robust social, emotional, behavioral supports.

The growth of this petition has reached a level that warrants formal presentation to the Baltimore City school board members. I am currently finalizing a briefing document that summarizes these community expectations for project-based learning and will submit it for review by the end of the week.

Yes please!! Getting kids into stem early is the only way to help them long term
FINALLY. We need more focus on the arts and tech together. Such a great idea for the city.
Is there a way to get involved with the planning board? Very interested in helping out.
I would love to hear more about your school and potentially partnering as a teaching artist.
Love this concept ! As a double STEAM graduate (chemistry and biology ) I can’t describe how badly programs like this are needed!
