I don't intend to debate my position via this forum, but I am ok with the use of goals on a temporary basis. I prefer not to see goals permanently mounted if front of homes in this neighborhood, or for mobile goals to be left out in perpetuity. Happy to listen and discuss.

I don't think comments will be able to be passed on when I print out the signature list, but I will try to capture them somehow or not include your name in the list. Please keep in mind, we're already allowed to have and use roll-away basketball hoops, we just have to roll them behind our fences/garages when not in use. Meaning, any infringement upon "peaceful enjoyment" already is allowed. Unless you consider a basketball hoop to be offensive to your view as you drive through the neighborhood. As our annual dues are already quite high, and the rationale that most of us want to be able to leave basketball hoops in our driveways is that we have young kids who we don't want playing in the street, a neighborhood basketball court wouldn't address our concerns. Additionally, neighborhood basketball courts are much more likely to bring non-residents in to use them than driveway goals would. Furthermore, the rules don't actually need to be changed, as the restrictions we all signed when we moved in stated that we could put in for a variance to allow a basketball goal (just like any change to landscaping in the front yard, sheds, change in paint color, etc, the rule exists to ensure it will be located appropriately, properly maintained, and aesthetically pleasing), just all requests are currently being denied.
