Asa parent of two former Crawdads I can attest to tuning into the broadcast from Indianapolis every night. Further, I can attest to the travesty of NOT having any broadcast in High Desert. The relationship between the team & the fans, the families of the players & professional baseball team is breached without an informative, fun, fact filled broadcast. Without a broadcast, the fan base will decrease. However, with a good marketing plan, a broadcast can ADD to the community outreach, as well as adding to bottom line. Check out how some of the other are successful: Frisco, W/broadcast & video & Spokane w/broadcast.

This has got to be one of the worst business decisions since Coke decided to "improve" their formula. The webcast is the best outreach the Crawdads have, not just to the community, but to all those who love the Crawdads and Rangers baseball around the country. If anything, we should look to expand it to a Spanish broadcast so the families of our Hispanic players can follow their boys.
And the broadcast would be nothing without Aaron Cox. I've listen to many broadcasters on various levels. I can honestly say that there are not many better than he. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and his ability to help us see the game through his eyes are qualities that the Crawdads cannot afford to let slip away.
Please reconcider your decision! Please keep Aaron Cox and the webcast in Hickory. Sometimes the best business decision is one that isn't reflected on the bottom line.

My husband and I listen to several minor league baseball games at the same time each night. Our favorite is, by far, the Hickory Crawdad broadcast. Of all the other announcers, Aaron Cox delivers not only a precise, accurate account of the game, but also brings an enthusiastic and personal touch to each and every broadcast. His ability to paint a visual of every pitch and every hit is phenomenal. I would put him up against any Major League announcer in the business. Losing Aaron Cox and the Hickory broadcast will certainly hurt the expansion of the Hickory fan base. Please reconsider your decision before we lose Aaron to another team.

I think we need to keep the radio because the families of some players live in different parts of the world and the only way they can connect to then is through the radio. Also, when the Crawdads are travelling and some fans don't come to those travel games, so they listen to the radio. The radio is one of the best ways for fans to feel "in the game" while not being at the stadium. Aaron Cox is the life of the party to those who know him. he's keeping the team spirit alive and is very funny. I know Aaron loves to do radio. When I first met him he had a positive, go do it attitude and from that point on I realized how important Aaron is. The radio inspires. #RadioLivesOn

The management of the Crawdads should keep the radio so that if anyone should stumble upon this station, it would bring in many customers and will come forth to the Crawdads.

The mere presence of a club radio broadcast adds a significant layer of credibility to the entire organization. The Crawdads, however, did not just merely have a broadcast. They had one run by one of the best in the business in Aaron Cox. Further, because of the time commitment, knowledge, access, and communication skills required, the broadcaster is often the best representative and marketing asset in the organization (writing, speaking engagements, releases, social media, etc).

Merely having a broadcast adds a tremendous layer of credibility to any organization. The Crawdads, however, do not merely have a broadcast, they have one run by one of the best in the business in Aaron. Further, because of the broadcaster's role, knowledge, access, and vested interest, they are very often the team's best marketer and promotional asset.

Please find a way to solve this problem. The broadcasts are an important part of a team's identity and reach to the community... And Aaron is one of the best you will find.
We must keep this going. We need the broadcast.
Keep the Crawdads on the broadcast!!
