I ABSOLUTELY agree, there should be NO criteria to a national alert for a child reported missing, this could result in saving a child's life!!!!!! I think ALL missing children should be treated as if they belong to the president, a government official, or another cop! I GUARANTEE THEY'LL SEARCH WITH NO STIPULATIONS!

The key to all of this is act immediately when they are reported missing. If they are runaways or if they show up one hour later is the main reason why law enforcement don't want to comply with acting immediately

i Most people will not sign this because of camera issue but if you pass a law you don't have to use the whole act it can be fine tuned to the true issue which is a missing child act 24 hours is the normal waiting time for filing in missing persons report.this act should stipulate that any child under the age of 15 be reported immediately upon someone realizing a child is missing. And with a text message sent out to phones within at least a hundred mile radius with a photo of child. Location missing from and contact number of local police force. I can take a photo of a photo and post it within a few seconds and so can law enforcement. So what if they show up an hour later safe ! Better to be safe than to not have done something and be sorry forever. Time once spent can never be recovered it is gone forever ! There are so many things we waste time on , let this not be one of them. It is the only commodity that is more valuable than money. Time with your family friends and community.

most phones have an app that lets you know about AMBER alerts or weather alerts. it came already downloaded on my phone, and it's a prepaid from walmart. it's called Emergency Alerts
