Save the HF-L Music Program

We all know that the economy is in trouble right now, and that the state budget has gone down the drain, thus negatively effecting the school districts. The Honeoye Falls-Lima school district is in the process of deciding where cuts need to be made, and recently, the 4th grade band program, the high school musical, the high school Select Choir, and the high school Jazz Ensemble were named as possible cuts to the district. Yes, they are only possible cuts right now, but that's bad enough. This group serves to get the word out and gather support for our HF-L music program. So many people have gained so much from the music programs at our school district. We can't let them cut it now and deprive future students of having some of the amazing opportunities we've had. To our school board: Please find other ways to cut costs that do not directly impact the future of our community's children. Please do not dilute the rich and valuable program in music and the arts that we already have.
