Leia was one of the first examples for young women that they could be heroes too. She embodies everything that a princess should be an more. She never backed down from a challenge and showed herself to be more than capable of taking care of herself. She inspired those she lead and was an example for the fight against evil. Make Leia an official Disney Princess.

Princess Leia is a central character in the Star Wars saga and excluding her is teaching children that female characters are insignificant! Plus, how can kids reenact the Star Wars story without her!!

I just can't understand Disney's logic, even if they're not interested in marketing to females, why would you still exclude the characters? Boys like female characters too.

Tried to get a Leia doll for my daughter for Christmas. Hard to believe there is no Leia available with the massive amount of merchandise available.
