My petition is to open up the newmarket road underpass as a public street art sight, like the wall on mill road. the artists would work out the space for themselves. which could result in frequent changes in designs and colour. there are many areas around the country that already have this and its proven to be an attraction rather than an eyesore. I know there are many pro's and con's but it cant look any worse than it does already. if you agree with me, please sign my petition.

Brilliant idea would be a great opportunity for all ages to get involved in art. I use the underpass daily it would make so much difference to a lot of peoples morning journeys.

The council in my town decided to save money by, rather than trying to paint over the quick throw ups, giving our underpass to be a free wall and the public love it! Quality production pieces from top artists in their and now people use it rather than avoid it. This has now led to a full on paint festival in the town people appreciate the art so much!

This is a great idea. The main reason I believe this having dedicated walls for street artists. Means harsher penalties for taggers.

Maybe you can get some community or youth groups involved too! Open walls are great because they are ever changing as new artists come in or old artists try out new styles. It would be a great place for artists to practice and improve!

Public art spaces have been central to the regeneration of many areas. It makes grey concrete less threatening. I support this petition

Very good idea especially allowing the artists to demonstrate organisation, cooperation and creativity without bureaucratic interference.

Amazaing idea. Would love to see this become a legal graffitti area.
