This is just complete nonsense. Does this mean that all homes/buildings in the area that were built before 1963 and have had extensive renovations will also be heritage listed. Who is behind this decision and what is the real agenda behind this nonsense?

Our church is for the community and does not fall under any heritage listing guidelines outlined by the Heritage council of NSW.

Heritage listing will be contrary to the immediate and longer term requirements of the parishioners of this relatively new community and church, and could have the consequence of interference with religious freedom.

I must agree with most if not all the facts highlighted by FR. Gerasimos! Dear Woollahra Council, please reconsider! Thankyou

Churches should not be heritage listed. My son was married in that church my grandson also was baptised in this church. Also I used to go their when I was young to learn about my religion which of proud of. Churches should left out of politics.

After more than two thousand years of culture and learning, the Greek community of St. George Rose Bay know a lot more about heritage than any level of government.

I am against heritage listing, the property at 90-92 Newcastle St Rose Bay, being St George Greek Orthodox Church.

Leave the church to it’s people and stop trying to take over our place of worship were the government has no place. Our churches should be allowed to what the priests and parishioners want and not be told what we can’t do. If the building reunites upgrading then let it be so. It is not old enough to be heritage listed!

Yes, the Church Community is the guardian, along with our Lord not the Council.

The decision to place this church on the heritage list is another example of Councils' impeding development and the needs of the community.
