Herbicides and Wildlife: Sportsmen demand answers!

Hope this gets the ball rolling. Our elk population is suffering.

Anything that makes any animal suffer needlessly should be outlawed

There is a connection and it's not just harming the animals but the people in this state. We have a right to know.

Please start research, got the animals sake and humans. Lots of people eat this meat!!!

Burn the clear cuts and it will much better No chemicals

When timber lands are sprayed with herbicide to only allow conifer to grow, you have upset the balance of natural nutrients in the young nutritious plants with micro nutrients that are for the health of wildlife, birds and humans. There are natural plant antibiotics in the forest when the forest is cleared by cutting the trees or fire. Oregon Grape Root, Usnea, plantain, and the list goes on. Fire also after a clear cut puts nutrients into the ground. Also the foresters of today promote cutting medicine trees such as willow, cherry, cascara, maple, birch in stand release or thinning. No diversity here. Might be good for the timber market but it is not good for the wildlife. When the practice of herbicide became a way to manage timber, we also lost our blue bird population on the west side of the mtns. This was said by a late FS person who kept a wildlife diary for nearly 50 yrs. So let us do the science and what is right for the critters.

It's about time these were put together, we done use these things in our yards because of household animals and our wildlife is living and eating that, use your heads people!

This is necessary and I support doing what's right which is testing these herbicides and STOP using them

Get off your high horse peta and see what really screws over the animals your trying to protect from hunters when the real problem is chemicals being sprayed over lands open to the public. Makes me sick to see all the hypocrisy and ignorant people try to blame the people who gather the meat their families eat. Not to mention the animals hunters Perdue aren't gown by the hundreds of thousands to be hearded to the 50 cal skull spiker

I live in Rose Valley on the Coweeman River, I estimate the Elk herds to be 20% of the 2008 level. After hunting Elk for 58 years I quit hunting them 2 years ago because there aren't enough Elk to justify hunting them And I won't pay Weyco's fee to hunt

These chemicals also will be in the water system and find their way to humans! Hopefully the study will include the significant number of diseases including cancer to humans caused by these chemicals

Big money doing what they have for years but now it's effecting OUR wildlife. And fish n lame doing what they have for years. NOTHING
