The Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre in Leicestershire is a visitor centre dedicated to the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485, which took place in the locale. The battle was between the forces of King Richard III and Henry Tudor, with Tudor gaining the victory and claiming the throne of England as King Henry VII. It was previously thought that the battle was fought upon Ambion Hill next to which the visitor centre was built and one of the main attractions is the large Battle Standard of King Richard III which flies regularly atop the hill. This petition aims to convince the Heritage Centre to once more raise the flag of Henry Tudor, the victor of the battle and equally deserving of this honour. Initially removed due to uncertainty regarding the correct position of the battle standard on the day, it is felt that there is no valid reason this flag can not be displayed in a temporary position until a permament home is located.
