The County of Henrico has done a good job hosting play at its Recreation Centers in its Open Gym program. However, those events are shared gym time and there are times during the year that there is not as much play time available especially for school aged children and working adults. The sport has grown and can support a complex with dedicated courts. If such a complex existed, the County could host tournaments as well bringing revenue into the County.

Pickleball is such a healthy activity and fun for everyone strong enough to hold a racquet. Henrico needs to be part of this growing sport!

Outside pickleball courts are needed to accommodate this fastest growing sport in America.

You have some beautiful recreation centers but they are not available often enough for the hundreds of players who want to play more often. They need to be lighted for evening play, too, for those who work and are in school during the day.

Please include Henrico, Hanover when implementing pickleball planning. I will be happy to have further discussion concerning this matter.

Pickleball is a great sport for all ages. I would think Henrico county would love to support building an outdoor facility for pickleball.
