Since starting this petition we have discovered that our mugging was not the first. How many robberies are going to happen until something is done? Why is the council so reluctant to make the community and town, as a whole, a safer place? With your support we can hopefully draw enough attention to this fact and make something happen. Thank you!

I honestly cannot believe how many people have joined in since I first hit post and sat here wondering if anyone actually cared about the path near the school. It feels like the neighborhood is finally waking up to the fact that we deserve better than being afraid to walk to the shops.

Fix this walkway. Lights and cameras ASAP.
WHY ARE THE COUNCIL WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO GET KILLED BEFORE THEY ACT??? Disgraceful.
Broad daylight is just crazy. Hope the 19 year olds are doing okay after that. Cameras are a must.
My kids walk that way to school and it scares me to death thinking about what could happen. We need cameras now.
Ridiculous that this is still an issue. Put the cameras up it is not that hard.
