we actually pulled it off and the council officially greenlit the new venue space. i honestly cant believe we kept the pressure up long enough to make this happen but look where we are now. keep an eye on the local updates because the planning phase starts soon.

Is it a sign of the times, is there no demand from those that live music in the town and surrounding areas? In my opinion I disagree, Dacorum has a population of over 135,000 people and there are plans in place for redevelopment within Hemel Hempstead and I think there should be plans within that to build an entertainment venue which is able to cater for live music. I also think that the masses that attended events arranged by local promotion companies including Juicebox, Smash!, Say Nada, Rage Against The Mainstream, For The Love Of Folk, Safesoundz and Raise The Roof among others would also disagree about being no demand! There has also become a limited number of things for people to go, with pubs being the only option for most people, and for live entertainment there are some bars that do a great job of offering something different, however they are not designed or facilitated for this and will have restrictions in place what they are able to offer. The bi-annual event Music On The Moor shows that there is a strong array of talent about, however without a place for these acts to play then where will the next talent be discovered? In recent times there have been acts from the area that have supported top UK bands and gone out on UK tours, and one local act even had NME’s coveted Coolest person in rock recently! If you feel the same as me, then please add your support to the petition and we can use our collective voices to make a difference.

This is something Hemel Hempstead needs, it generates entertainment for adults and children, , DBC seem to have taken any entertainment away from Hemel.

I And UKIP HEMEL HEMPSTEAD,have been trying to get the rebuilding of the pavilion, for many years now ,unfortunely the council have said that they could not make it pay its way,I say that this was because of bad management,as,with the sporting ,that is now run by sooportspace.

Hemel is a ghost town once the shops close. Really need a proper music spot instead of just more empty flats.

so many talented kids in this town with nowhere to play. juicebox events were always packed so i dont know why they say there is no demand.
