A worthwhile project which can only help the local economy, as so many similar railway revivals have already demonstrated, Launceston Steam Railway and The Lynton and Barnstaple being two West Country success stories.

As with other heritage railway projects around the uk this can only do one thing for the local economy which is to improve it.so it should be supported as much as possible...

This is an excellent scheme, which will help to boost the regional economy, preserve local hertitage and protect the environment.

Support is required for these local groups who support our heritage, which is also good for the Cornwall economy.

I wholeheartedly support these two applications. The benefits are obvious. Good luck!

Tourism brings and safeguards jobs

In every single location where heritage railways have expanded the result has been greater tourism, more jobs and higher property values. The Helston Railway is in an area devoid of all-weather tourist attractions, and in poor weather tourists in West Cornwall may well decide not to go anywhere, or worse, to go further afield to find somewhere dry to occupy their time. The award winning Helston Railway is a well run, well conceived operation regenerating one of England's most loved lost railways. Its extension should go ahead for the benefit of Helston and the surrounding area. The misinformation being peddalled by the opponents (many of whom stand to benefit from higher property values as the railway develops) should not prevent this important and exciting scheme from going ahead.
