I Am At A Young age of 18, My Husband is 19...At the time of the crime He was 17 years old. We have a 4 month old together and We all miss him. He did something stupid "aggrivated robbery " And was given 9 years in tdcj. He is a changed person, whom was on bond for the crime for over a year, he Had a job, stayed out of trouble and always made a court appearance. He was ready to take what was coming to him for A Crime he made peace with, a thing he knew he had done wrong. Just recently He was transported to a county jail from tdc so he could testify against a co/actor who later got off free. I , As well As Many Just would Love it if there was any other way he could serve his time, parole, Or even a Halfway house "much like safp" so this way he could atleast leave and come back , at a certain time. Then he could help us, be supportive and show everyone the change in him..."even if being bailed out, wasnt enough" It just disturbs me because one judge said (almost 2 years, rehab) while another said (no! 9 years tdc) It's upsetting when I hear about people who have done the same thing, if not worse , maybe less...who get less time, and re offend. This is my husbands first felony, he was on drugs at the time, wanted more drugs and was 17 years old.

INCONSISTENT JUDGING IS THE REAL PROBLEM HERE. 9 YEARS IS RUINING A YOUNG LIFE THAT HAS A FAMILY WAITING AT HOME. LET HIM GET REHAB!

9 years is way too much for a first offense. he was just a kid and people deserve a second chance to turn things around for their kids.
