The local authorities have officially reversed their decision and will preserve The Spot for our community. This outcome represents a victory for all 118 people who supported our right to maintain this space. We will continue to monitor the area to ensure this agreement remains respected.
This petition is to help friends, family, and local skaters of Powder Springs, GA. keep a local skate spot that has been around for over 5+ years. We were recently kicked out, told that it would be destroyed and that we would face jail time for trespassing. Despite the fact of the support from neighboring households. It is also illegal to have all 4 skateboard wheels on sidewalks and we get kicked out of everywhere else, So the spot is the only thing we were able to skate
The administration has remained silent despite our outreach regarding the future of the skate spot. We are drafting formal documentation to present to the local planning office to demonstrate the community value of this space.

The spot is honestly the only place in powder springs that isnt a complete bust. destroying it is just plain dumb.

Typical. Always pushing the youth out of public spaces then complaining when they have nothing to do.

Ridiculous. Where are these kids supposed to go? If they aren't on the streets they get in trouble. Let them skate.

My son goes there all the time. It keeps them out of trouble and gives them something to do. LEAVE IT ALONE.
