you have owed the money to rooftop for a few years and made no attrempt to pay them back until you needed them again so why should they help you when you've made very little effort to clear your arrears.
What is to say that if they give you a new place you wont run up arrears and trash the place like before.
Yes your situation sucks but at the end of the day you only have yourself and your ex to blame for it.
Many people need the help of rooftop and as a business they are more likely to go with people that pay rent on time, don't trash the place and don't cause problems.

That we can house immigrants but cannot look after our own
This poor girl is only trying to look after her girls and at the moment ni one is helping her !!

Please this lady is willing to do anything to be able to give her 4 kids a house which should be a giving in this day and age . Surly yous can find it in your heart to make sure her kids are safe and secure in a house they can call home

Absolutely disgusting a mother and 4 young children, 1 disabled to be expected to live like this!!.. Children need routine and stability not fear and worry of where there going to live and sleep the next day!
