To registered voters of the City of Winnsboro:

Sammy and I need your help. Sammy and I started a rental equipment division of our company over a year ago. We went to the bank and borrowed a large amount of money and invested more of our own in equipment after figuring out that our community had a real need for a local rental company. The Winnsboro EDC has now approved giving $39,000 to another individual to start a rental company. Make no mistake, we are not against fair competition, but feel that the WEDC giving someone that much money to start a business when we have already invested so much of our own money in this venture creates an unfair advantage. To stop this grant from going forward we must get 10% of the registered voters to sign a petition requesting that this issue be brought to the voters. This must be done by Friday. This petition is not asking you to take sides, simply that it be brought before the voters. Please help us with this by coming by the store and signing our petition.
