There is no harm in the students remembering a lifelong friend and classmate that would have been graduating with them. Graduation is a time for honoring the seniors, memories and lifelong friendships and lessons learned. Come on WHS have a heart and for once think outside the box. Who is it hurting? How many will it help? Let them rejoice and remember!

I only went to WHS freshman year but knew Ashley for so many years because we lived close. She was a great friend and a great person to be around always. I think this should happen for sure no doubt in my mind!

Graduate gowns are normally purchased by the graduates in the first place, and even if they weren’t it isn’t a big deal however a high school student losing their life is. If the students wish to honor her and make her presence known then why try to hold them back from trying to be thoughtful, caring and passionate??

As a WHS alumni I am shocked the school won't allow this. I was a gradate of 1999 where we had students who also passed during our school year that wear remembered at graduation. Allow this girl to be remembered!

What is the big deal about letting her have her rightful place in line? It shouldn't be, so why is it?

A classmate, friend, and family member should never be limited in their ability to show love and rememberance for a person. RIP Ashley
