This is wrong for the school to disregard the feelings of her friends and family. I'm sure she was well liked, and her parents would have been proud to see the're daughter walk across the stage, but will never get the chance.

The wearing of the pin and the location of Ashley's chair are two small ways to show their care and love for a friend and fellow classmate. We all as good Americans and people of this community should try to show care and compassion towards others.Be good examples for our children.

Having a chair in her honor is not making the ceremony about her. She was part of this class and deserves to be remembered the way her friends/family choose too. I lost a classmate 2 weeks before graduation and we kept his chair opened, put his cap and gown on it, we remembered him, but the ceremony wasn’t about him. The school board is being ridiculous

The feeling of her classmates should be taken into account. It can be good for healing.

Class of 2017 was allowed to have a chair open for Jacob Shaffer. It should be allowed for Ashley. And if they won’t allow the pins on the gown, they can atleast put them on grad caps because they are allowed to be decorated.

Ashley was an amazing person. Let the students do this. They lost someone they love, let them show everyone that Ashely is still apart of them.

As senior class president of WHS, I deem this petition and all who sign to have the full support of all individuals in the senior class. Thank you for your support and god bless Ashley and her family and friends.
