Help WHS Remember Ashley Simons
On April 7th, 2017, Ashley Simons, a Warrensburg High School Junior at the time, passed away. Since then, her friends and family have actively kept her memory alive.
Ashley would graduate high school this May, and her friends would like to remember her by wearing orange pins on their gowns. They also hope to leave her seat open and decorate it. These small, harmless actions are incredibly important to both Ashley's friends and family.
However, the Warrensburg High School administration has been attempting to shoot these ideas down due to a rule prohibiting jewelry on graduation gowns. They also claim that the chair decoration is a "safety concern" and will make the ceremony "all about Ashley."
We are now looking to the Warrensburg community to help Ashley be remembered during the 2018 graduation ceremony.
Please show your support for Ashley's remembrance by adding your name to this petition.
WARRENSBURG SENIORS: There are also physical petitions circulating at the High School. Be sure to sign these as well.
