We need young, trained, hard working people in this country to keep our economy going. He's lived here and integrated here, his sister lives here- give him a break and let him stay.

I can't think of another 18year old more deserving of a place here. Heidi contributing to society and is clearly a lovely person. Shame on UK Government.

Treat others as you would want to be treated yourself. How could anyone believe it is fair to deport this young man?

How anyone in the Home Office can consider this refugee to be an economic inmigrant is beyond words. It is time that they look at the intention of the inmigration laws, and that is not to send a teenager from safety to the streets of Kabul.

It would be inhumane and cruel to send Walid back to Afghanistan where he has no family and where his life would be at risk. His home is in the UK and he should be allowed to remain here where he has a secure future & a positive contribution to make to our society.

The fact that this discrimination needs a petition to be counteracted is shameful. Shame in our government.

This young man deserves to stay in the UK. It's barbaric to deport him.

When did the UK abandon standing up for freedom and against tyranny. We have become an isolationist joke of a nation. I am ashamed of our leadership

Where is our humanity? In any case, we need young people like this in this country - there is a shortage of building skills.

Stand up for British values and stop the deportation of this young man to the place where his father was murdered.

This is a disgrace. Walid clearly has a job and a life in the UK. Where are the Politicians hearts in this matter.... I am ashamed to hold a British Passport.
