The dog was protecting his family. That's a good thing in this day and age. Maybe don't lurk around someone's house if you don't want to be in danger.

This happened with our baby boy... Someone walked straight into our house, didn't knock just came straight in our front door... our dog bit their leg
Within the weak the council came and got him and we all gave statements and went to court, but we were fined $10,000 and he was put down.... Absolutely heart breaking and frustrating
We lost our baby who thought they were protecting us because someone had to walk straight in
