I believe that it is morally wrong to do such a thing! How can you prevent students from practising their religion? If we are taught about religion and how diverse our community is, in schools/college, what would be the point if students are not able to preach what they have been taught. Being influenced by the views of society shouldn't affect what you would know to be morally right.

Absolutely ridiculous! It should be obligatory to pray in such facilities being offered by the college anyways.

So sad that in 2015 a simple request for a prayer room has to go through an entire petition

It's pretty sickening that a college would refuse to provide an area of faith and worship to it's students. If this so called school willingly deems itself as prestigious makes me wonder whether or not the British schooling system is able to maintain any element of integrity at all. How dare you fail to provide a prayer room? How dare you? Prayer rooms unite those of all races and all religions. Prayer rooms allow students to devour a essence of serenity and peace, a known after affect of praying. Prayer room allows students to regain hope and confidence before and after exams. Prayer rooms may also have other functions for example become a place of study when not in use (therefore not excluding those without religion) Prayer rooms are of excellence and if you continue to deprive your students of even the smallest place to pray; how excellent can your college really be?

We believe that there should be a place for every individual to practice their religion and worship what they belive in and I think that it is very unfair that the prayer room for the Muslims haven been taken from them.

If you won't listen to your students, listen to the Archbishop of Canterbury: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/11906982/Fear-of-Muslims-tearing-British-society-apart-Welby.html
