Student shouldn't be stopped from praying, it doesn't take much to facilitate a place for them in a big college even if it has to be a meeting room which can be booked at prayer time (which is only couple of minutes twice a day!)

Utterly disgraceful. Such poor effort from a college in a diverse, multi cultural area to fit religious needs of students. I wish all the students a fair sized prayer room or a better sixth form!

Why can't they be allowed to pray, is it hurting anyone? No... People allowed to go smoke etc which is hurting them and people around them who passive smoke...

Instead of taking away the facility of the prayer room they should give a hall and make it compulsory to pray, then you will see the difference in behaviour, attitude, respect and life of our youth.

Allowing children to practice their faith may help them learn and practice obedience to other academy laws and orders.

I am sadly appalled at the lack of sensitivity n courtesy shown by a teacher who is supposed to be of good moral n exemplary behavior Tolerance for other people's creeds is of paramount importance on today's volatile world
As teachers we must instead teach young to respect tolerate help other ethnic or religious entities
Just remember all our actions are being watched by the almighty no matter what your religion is !
God says in Quran "I have not created man n jin but to worship Me! " The Muslim prayer inculcates in our youth : discipline humility responsibility good time management obedience to higher authorities, peace of mind n last but not least path to paradise :) seek it dearest beloved soul God is waiting for us to turn to Him n he's source of all peace Ameen

It is against Article 18 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human rights plus reflects poorly on the institute administration How can it be an institute of excellence when they are unable to discipline their own teacher not to misbehave n act in such a childish n inappropriate manner with no courtesy n tact against the sensitivities of more than a quarter of the worlds Muslim population I would never place my child or ward to study there !! Appalling! Preventing individuals praying is unacceptable, unnecessary and intolerable. Its taking away a basic human right !

It seems mind boggling for there not to be just one room that the college can provide the students with for 15mins twice a day. I'm very doubtful space is the true reason behind this new rule but would like to know what their reasons are and how they have justified this action. Clearly, they don't actually think this would stop students from praying do they? It would only add to more frustration for teachers or security to have to carry out this new rule. I'm sure their time can be spent more effectively also. And this does not send out any positive messages, if anything will cause more anger and frustration. What actions are being taken against any of the other faiths that wish to practice their religion openly? Does this new rule only apply to Muslims??? Is this not singling out one faith and targeting it? What message would this be sending to all the people in Britain?

It is discrimination to prevent students from praying. What is wrong with you? They aren't causing anyone harm.

Please please please provide a prayer room for students. In today's day and age everyone should have access to a multi faith prayer room/area in their educational setting.
