Its is a GREAT idea to honor Miss West in this way! At the very least, imo. …..She deserves the entire Street renamed in her Honor, for ALL THAT SHE DID FOR HOLLYWOOD & AMERICA! - Steve Potts

Mae West is an icon. Her impact is unmeasurable because she conquered Broadway, Vaudeville, Vegas, and movies. Her comedy quips are still used constantly today as a part of our every day language. She saved paramount from bankruptcy and look where Hollywood is today thru that great studio. Honor Mae!

It was common knowledge that Mae West lived at Ravenswood as word had gotten out and she was our neighborhood’s BIG celebrity. I remember seeing her in the 60s with her long white hair when I was a little girl, sitting in the back seat of her limo being driven by her chauffeur.

This is great news! Along with Tim I am one of the last three people close to her. I am a retired LA Times film critic, and I wrote the eulogy for Mae's funeral. After th death of her last lover, Paul Novak, I unexpectedly fell heir to a lot of Mae's treasures, which will be donated to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. I was also responsible for getting Mae's vast archival materiials donated to the Academy library. Please keep me informed of this designation and events; I would like to say a few words abpout Mae. as I am sure, so would. PS I have known one of your members, Mary Woodward, who alerted about the Mae West curve, her entire life. I would be glad to help in any way. Thank you, Kevin Thomas yyrelerldllaionpp me nformey sal ailsaarc
