I often think of her taking ownership of the Ravenswood from a racist landlord when I drive through that intersection. We should honor her career and legacy in this modest way.

Mae West is one of the greatest contributors to the success of Hollywood in all cinematic history. Actress, producer, director, writer, she did it all. Long, long before women were considered for their brains and talent in a highly critical age Mae West dazzled our nation with her brilliance. A curved drive in Hancock Park is the minimum we owe her.
