take this responsibility away from liquor licensing. It shoul be the councils department.

Good luck with this. We love the live music at the coffee cat. Hopefully this will all be over soon and we can get back to enjoying the atmosphere in peace!

It's time Qld liquor licensing woke up the damage they've caused the state's hospitality industry as a whole, and especially the tourism industry on the Sunshine Coast. I now live in Melbourne and am constantly taking to people who refuse to holiday to south east Qld anymore as they view it as literally ruled by "fun-police" with more interest in residential (retirement community) development than any kind of culture. In some cases these people has been taking their families to the Coast every year for decadesin the past, only to see the life sucks out of one of the most beautiful places in the world.
The fees and charges pressed upon small business for simple acoustic music are ridiculous and the laws surrounding music in licensed venues completely ludicrous. Wake up Queensland Government.

What rubbish! Nothing but a money making scheme! Let live music stay! Musicians need the income and patrons such as myself enjoy the atmosphere it brings.

great venue, great service the local talent is phenomenal! This is ridiculous! Take away all out fun so you can gain extra dollars! No wonder business go broke!

Common sense please, the days of loud rock n roll bands playing without consideration are over. All we are asking for is acoustic singer songwriters in the corner creating a friendly vibe for friends n family's to enjoy the famous Qld outdoors with a bit of light music. The times they are a changing and so should Qld legislation.

I stand with the owner operators of Coffee Cat, simple entertainment, not to much to ask for, laws need to be changed this is an employing business that could add to unemployment list if not given a fair go.

These laws need to change . Coffee Cat has done a magnificent job in providing not only live music to their customers , but also supporting their musicians. Australia is known for it's live music industry like pub gigs from days past from many famous Aussie Bands. So good on you Coffee Cat for continuing this tradition and I will support and back you up all the way.

We need the laws to change to help the small time operators to keep their music entertainment, sometimes music is a great draw card for these lovely little places
