There are more crazy music laws than just this one. Look into the laws relating to entertainment agents as well. They're disgraceful.

What I want to know is who benefits from this law? Amplifying music doesn't just increase volume, it can increase a whole bunch of effects which can make interesting music. If anything, set a noise limit, not this stupidity,

in the 80's this country produced the best music in the world by bands and artists that got their start and honed their craft 7 days a week in great venues. Our narrow minded politicians and greedy agencies run by beaurocrats are ruining this country in so many areas. No more Nanny state- No more pokies- No more wowsers moving in to houses near venues and complaining about a bit of occasional muffled noise.
Seriously we are on the verge of a revolution if our politicians don't wake up soon (sounds like a good name for a song)!!!

Live music helps people share stories and experiences where often they may find themselves alone. It brings people together. Why does it have to be so hard for a venue to offer this to its patrons?

Please make it easier to have more, appropriate, joyful live music entertainment especially to give people in bars something else to do or think about than getting completely wasted.
