I AM THE MOTHER OF ERIC SMITH, A VERY HEART BROKEN MOM. THE PURPOSE OF THIS PETITION IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO UNDERMINE OR TO HURT ANYONE. OUR FAMILY JUST FEELS LIKE IT'S TIME TO BRING IN MORE HELP TO HELP FIND OUR SON. WE ARE TOLD JUST ABOUT EVERY OTHER DAY THAT THE INVESTIGATORS ARE ON IT. I BELIEVE THEY ARE DOING ALL THEY CAN AS FAR AS THEY CAN, BUT I ALSO BELIEVE IF THERE WAS MORE HELP THAT THINGS MAY MOVE A LITTLE FASTER. It's absolutely mind boggling How someone like Eric can go missing in small town and Law Enforcement appears to set back and say "Well We Tried and We don't know what else to do." That's Hog Wash... It's not a large city Tazewell county Law Enforcement. Someone Missing is more important that any petty crime. I TRULLY believe someone should get National News Envolved. Unslolved Mysteries, John Walsh Americas Most Wanted, Nancy Grace, a private investigator. Take the reward money and hire a private investigator.

I think the FBI should have been involved soon after Erics disaperance, no way a good citizan as Eric was would walk off the face of the earth, please everyone sign this petiton and get involved with helping The Smith family find their loved one, this could have been your son or my son but we are our brothers keeper and they despertly need everyones help, if you can't help with the search maybe you could help with the finances with raising more money for the reward because I believe JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED, God bless all who gets involved

Lets boycott till the law does their job they only searched Richlands, seaboard and jewel ridge what about all of these abandoned mines in west,va and Buchanan county??

Something about this case just doesn't add up!!! I don't know this family personally, but from what I've heard, Eric was a good hard working man, a wonderful husband, a great father and loved his family!!! So why would he just up and disappear on his own??? Myself, after the local police could not find him, then YES, the FBI should have been brought in!!!!!!

I do think it's a shame that more hasn't been done. A man who worked almost everyday, was active in his life, hunting fishing, family gatherings and loved by so many would just disappear . Things like that aren't coincidence . Someone has to know something. People don't just dissipate into thin air. We need more law interactions dealing with this case. This family is grieving and dieing a little bit everyday. Please PLEASE, ANYONE, WHO KNOWS ANYTHING PLEASE COME FORWARD. what if this were your child, mother father husband or wife. Help give this family closure to their never ending torment .

I know they can find him if they bring in the right technology, he was a Great Friend and Boss !!
