Help the ocean, ban 5p plastic bags.

When plastic bags make their way into the ocean, they appear to a lot of marine life to resemble a jellyfish, which causes them to be consumed by confused, hungry sea life such as whales and turtles.
Since plastic bags have gained a 5p charge it has been estimated that use of these bags has dropped by 85%, however, any use of these bags can contribute to the inordinate amount of plastic in the ocean already.
Many people have bags for life, frequently people will enter a shop and leave them in their car, deciding to get a couple of 5p bags instead of going back to the car parked close by.
It's very easy to obtain a bag you can fold up and keep in a handbag or pocket, being cheaper and more environmentally friendly. Bags for life are very useful for a weekly food shop. 5p bags are rarely used more than once and cannot always be recycled.
Small changes like this can make a huge difference, please sign and help improve our oceans.
