With drought conditions of:

1. Lack of rainfall in the last two years

2. Record temperatures (where you can cook eggs on the roads from the heat), heatwaves and bushfires

3. Hot blasting winds that dry out soil moisture and evaporate what little water there is.

4. 30 year low prices of sheep and cattle markets

5. Farmers and their families unable to pay basic bills, utility,living expenses of food, electricity, power, telephone, healthcare, rates, morgages etc.

6. Farmers unable to afford basic farming expenses such as drenches/wormingproducts/lice and tick products, salt/mineral blocks, vaccinations, pink eye treatment, veterinary care, fuel costs, etc.

We, the people, need to petition to bring the desperation of those farmers struggling to survive, feed and water their livestock, lessen the death rate of both health (stress related and other ie heart attack as well as help prevent suicide which increases with those on the land in times of drought like this). to the attention of the Australian Government that those drought affected farmers need assistance NOW for basic living expenses and those basic expenses as listed in the points above in order to survive and get through the drought.
