My daughter is one of the 2020 eagles. She is devistated that her 12 yrs of hard work is feeling like it just wasn't worth anything. I try to keep her optimistic but I am also devistated. I have to try to put on the brave face but man this is a really tough one. Can you imagine if this was you at the age of 18 and your graduation is being turned into a day of only graduating with 6 others and only 2 family members and or friends attending? I cry every time I think about it. My heart hurts for these kids. A couple more weeks I would think could mean a lifetime of memories for these kids whom have worked so hard for this!

I believe having a traditional graduation is not a privilege to have, it is a right to highschoolers across the nation, they have worked so hard for the last 12 maybe even 13 or 14 years of their life to get to this moment. It is a proud moment that every high schooler has a right to have a enjoy with their friends, classmates, and family members. Thank you for hearing the people’s part. From Medford, Oregon

At least give the seniors a chance to vote for the option of the later graduation.

I’m hoping they can do something better than mini grads (7 at a time). I think a parade with student decorated cars would be a fun idea as well. Fingers crossed.

I hope this will lead to the other schools being able to do something similar I go to henley and I was devastated with no graduation so if something can be done I'm sure everyone would pitch in and be ecstatic just to have a graduation

Every senior deserves the perfect graduation they’ve always imagined, they’ve worked so hard to get this far. One night will last them their entire lives!

I went to this school, and I will stand up with them! It's not right to keep people away from each other. It makes people more susceptive to more viruses which will kill more people. We need to have a strong immune system, and to have one is to be around others. The ones that are more in danger of it should stay home, or if they just want to. Let the kids have a graduation, this is not right!

These kids deserve to be together one last time! It’s okay to have hundreds of people cram into Wal Mart or Lowe’s ( enclosed building) however having the same amount outside (not a building) is not okay?

Let them walk at a later date. Anything can be accomplished if you just put your minds to it.

Reschedule and let them walk. Find a large enough venue where social distancing can be used.
