As some of you may know already, the administration of Eagle Point High School has decided “Due to the current limitations caused by COVID-19 and Governor Brown's Executive order limiting gatherings, Eagle Point School District will not be able to hold a traditional graduation for the class of 2020.” This means that we will have to have multiple mini ceremonies with limited people. This email left many students of the class of 2020 heartbroken because we left school for spring break and we never got the chance to go back. We didn’t get to say goodbye to our fellow students which is a big deal to many as we’ve grown up together and have been going to school together for 12+ years. Many students graduating in 2020 are first time graduates so this ceremony is especially important to them. A few weeks back the seniors of Eagle Point High school were given the option to push graduation back to the 26th of June Instead of the 6th in hopes the limitations would ease. Speaking for my class I know many graduates could agree that they wouldn’t mind pushing graduation back as late as August as long as we get to graduate get together one last time as a whole. Please show support by signing and help bring the class of 2020 together one last time!
