Please understand that World War 2 in Germany was very flawed. If a soldier refused to serve, Him and his family would suffer, may even be killed. Oskar Groening was only a bookkeeper in the worst concentration camp known as Auschwitz. Auschwitz was the worst camp of them all. but your orders send you to where you are assigned. He was only a bookkeeper as I have already established. If you went against orders for moral or any other reasons, The soldier had to pay by losing their families. He has spoken openly and acknowledge his sharing in mortal guilt. He was spoken openly about his role in genocide but one man can not take on that many soldiers. He became a prisoner of war (POW) and they found no need to keep him because they didn't feel he was a threat but what has happened from 1945 to 2015 (70 years later?) The man is 93 years old. Let him live in peace. All of this for being a bookkeeper. That is very sad. Please sign my petition to free him so he live the last few years with those he loves. He was only a BOOKKEEPER.
